I'm going for a fish and hoping it's over soon.

Do you guys have a way of figuring out what size hook to use in what size bait?

...obviously I mean when live baiting.

...one?

As the title says, what exactly is the purpose of a shock leader and under what circumstances should I look at using one. Starting to get into some heavier gear and i'm interested in this specific technique with regards to casting heavy weights good distances when using braid.

Going to pull a pin on this one. I'm not going to get there until after midday saturday and would have to leave bout the same time on Sunday. Have fun boys.

I've always used the points through the back near the dorsal or near the mouth, my basis stay alive fire a long time but I also don't catch much on love bait.

Probably already spent four hors researching spots, can't wait for this....

Depends on what i'm fishing for. 6-12 lb braid works for 90% of my fishing adventures.

If the weather forcast doens't improve in the next 48 hours I might pull the pin. Don't mind getting wet, the swell and wind don't look great for fishing though. What do you guys think?
