Do yourself a favour and get yourself a jet boil. I bought one recently and it's awesome. I take out a little systema container that holds 4 disposable cups,4 sachets of Nescafé cappuccino and a little Prima sized long life milk. Makes for a pretty bloody awesome coffee compared to the alternative ...

I've deckied for a mate of mine for a couple of years now, so I'm happy to make the following observations. 1) Be on time. 2) Bring bait, (I do a lot of solo land based squiding and so forth, and dump it in my mates freezer), bringing bait means you spend more time fishing, less time bait collectin...

I'm available most weekends and live close to Hastings. Been out in many boats, not done much deckying as such but I'm a quick learner, will help with expenses, and cleaning up afterwards. And I make a mean toasted sandwich for snacks on the boat. Send me a pm if anyone needs company/ a hand on West...

Bloody amazing eating fish. And very expensive if you buy the steaks.
I would be concerned about heavy metals in the flesh though..

Amazing how the fishery is evolving in Vic. Quality Tuna all along the west and swordfish thick & fast along the east. Kingfish improving close to the city, good numbers of other species. Happy days & long may it continue
