Re: Barometer readings
I go off baywx, real time wind / temp / barometer readings, accurate enough to see whats happening. The theory is the lower the pressure the more uncomfortable the fish become due to the increased pressure on the swim bladder. The apparent best pressure for fishing is a steady 1020 which is where th...

Re: Who wants to help a hack Catch a snapper
Williamstown and the area in front of station pier / princes pier usually fire up early for snapper, plenty of good info on here and the usual Facebook port Philip bay fishing groups have up to date information on the areas where the fish are being caught. Good Luck

Burley mincers on sale
Hey guys,
Just saw this at aldi stores coming up on saturday
I use a similar one for mincing burley and it works great, super good price on this too.
Most tackle shops charge 2 - 3 time as much for the same thing

Re: Boat ramp fee
It gets better....... Altona was only letting you pay using a phone app which costs $1.35 booking fee each time as well. Have not had a chance to see if the Newport ramp is the same.

Re: Pumping sandworms - Need help
Do it quite a bit mate, its harder work and colder this time of year but it can save stuffing around waiting for tides. A big floating sieve and floating bucket are necessary, i just move around until i find a patch or the right sort of ground and pump, if i dont hit worms after 2 or 3 pumps i keep...

Re: Murray River cray trip 2017
Great little clip. I cannot believe I spent a week on a houseboat without targeting these suckers! Do you purge them at all or cook em up straight away? Look like plenty of baitfish down there too. Cook them straight up, never had issues with muddy taste. Have never tried for cod around the area bu...

Re: Murray River cray trip 2017
Onya Fitzy! Enjoyed the footage mate. Some of the baits some folks use are handled with masks and gloves and downwind at all times. "If it doesn't stink, it doesn't work". I understand the logic, but not yet convinced. Is this your style mate? I use the same logic as i do with fishing "fresh is bes...
