Re: Prawns.
I was at Lakes Entrance at the weekend, went to Lake Tyres for a look on Sat night. I couldn't believe the amount of people there, it would have been a kilometre walk from where the last car was parked to the water. The lake was lit-up like a small city, easy 500 people prawning! I was fishing on Sa...

Re: Docks and Ponds
Far out, has he been in that bush for 20 years? That's insane. Docklands has quite the personality! There was another guy we called "The Gnome" looked just like a garden ornament. He'd walk around all the docks and wharves wheeling his shopping jeep, it was full of all his belongings which included...

Re: Docks and Ponds
The old guy's name is Pete. He's been around for at least 20 years that I know of, very funny guy...on the right day.
He often puts on a fluoro top and directs traffic around Docklands, just for a bit of fun. He's caused some huge traffic jams over the years.

Re: RIP Snapper Snatcher
Yeah, very sad news I heard about it last week. Well done Ducky for not posting earlier.
Great kid, a wealth of knowledge. He would share info when needed and wasn't too proud to ask for advice. I'd known him for probably 8-10 years, he was part of the hard-core Yarra Jewie group.

Re: Telescopic rods
Taking the punt on a couple of these. https://www.ebay.com.au/itm/Fishing-Rod-Carbon-Telescopic-Spinning-Baitcasting-Casting-Fishing-Pole-/165211280616?mkcid=16&mkevt=1&_trksid=p2349624.m46890.l6249&mkrid=705-154756-20017-0 They look really good, I think I might get the baitcaster. Do you know what...

Re: Telescopic rods
If the butts dont fit, maybe make a sleeve that fits in the rack first, PVC or some type of foam.
I'm just thinking out loud.

Re: Telescopic rods
I bought a $30 Katmandu from Anaconda a couple of years ago, I got it so I could carry a crappy rod in my backpack when deer stalking, it's an absolute belter. It gets bashed around and has had heaps of punishment, both in my backpack and while fishing and it's still in one piece with all it's guide...

Re: Where to catch Bronzies landbased.
I know Tenby point is a popular bronzie spot boat based. Potentially worth a look on the high tide if you can drone out baits. Thanks mate, yeah that place ticks just about all the boxes. I've had a couple of goes at the channel there, too much floating weed getting wrapped around the line and bait...

Re: Where to catch Bronzies landbased.
That's exactly where we get them lol But if anyone bothers to do even a tiny bit of research they'll learn that bronzies are not really a dangerous shark unless provoked so unless you're doing something to really **** one off you're probably fine. That's true, though I have read that although they ...

Re: HAVE YOUR SAY ON GIPPSLAND LAKES OYSTER TRIAL
I would imagine the fluctuating fresh water levels would be a risk for the lease owners.
