What are you planning on fishing for aboard the ski As in target species? It'll mainly be for lure fishing... I dunno if I'll bother bait fishing much on it. Sitting still for long periods patiently, thats what the boats for. Game species... BFT, kings, maybe even bill fish if I work up the courage...

Guess it all comes down to individual preference can see it would be great for certain applications just don’t become one of those ski operators who races around too close to boaties. You may find a sinker fly towards you or better yet cook your ski with line getting sucked in. Definitely not buyin...

Yeah fair enough cobby. I did some basic algebra with 22,500 outlay for the fishpro and 1000 per year for insurance vs 40,000 for a boat with 300 per year and it takes a whole 25 years for them to even out at the same price. Looking forward to hearing all the pros and cons of your new ski when compared to your current boat.... Well i can already think of one: Cleaning... **** washing my boat after every use. But yeah, their is always pros and cons to everything. Not comfortably fishing multiple people comes to mind for...

You won't change the $$$ much. Regardless of a fishing orientated ski, insurance for it is $800-$1k a year. Comparable priced boat capable of over 60km/h, $350-$500..... As much as I'd love a Fishpro, you could buy a $40k boat, service it, insure it, use it and hit break even costs with the much ch...

Just got a new policy for my fish pro (which I pick up tonight yew yew) which I bundled in with my boat insurance. Just went with club marine as that's who my boat is insured with but it came to around $80 a month Just for the ski!!! I know they are considered more dangerous than a boat, more likely...
