Re: The Mother Of All Bream Trips!!!
" Now this is exactly what i mean when i say its a magical place even if the fish are hard going.. its not about catching them big fish, its about enjoying the experience that the place has to offer, and everything else that comes with it.. you just cannot get this stuff locally in Melbourne " Well ...

Big Bully Mullet
Big Bull Mullet (Sea Mullet) can sometimes be the most frustrating fish to catch. At one spot I go to they often hang out in shoals of 30 or 40 fish at a time but they steadfastly refuse a bait of any kind. Early this evening one finally broke ranks and took a tiny piece of bread on a number 16 hook...

Re: Winter Bream
Nicely Done mate. How did you cope with the fires? We had some anxious moments but all was well. Had to spend one night hosing down the house as we were under ember attack but a wind change about 4 a.m. turned a really big fire away from us. A lot of the bush tracks are still closed and there's sti...

Re: Tailor
Tailor are good fun to catch but very ordinary as tucker.
They need to be eaten the same day as caught and definitely never frozen.

Winter Bream
Since the fishing ban was lifted the winter fishing in East Gippsland has been very, very good. I've been fishing the Snowy and the estuary at Marlo a lot recently and there's plenty of fish in the system and on the surf beaches. A session this afternoon didn't dissapoint. A nice catch of Bream, the...

Nice work - just out of curiosity, why do you reference depth using feet instead of meters? Being an old fart I still automatically think in feet and inches. These centipede and millipede measurements still seem alien to me. It's just a question of what you were schooled with as a youngster. :wt:

Should China Pay Reparations?
China chose to conceal from the world what was happening. Now the world is paying, with lives and wrecked economys.
China should pay and pay dearly.

Re: Corona Virus Part 3
Here in Orbost, about 50 or so k's further east from Lakes Entrance, it's a ghost town. Many shops were closed after the bushfires and now, even more are closed. I doubt many of them will ever re-open. The caravan park is deserted, the motels are empty, the pubs are shut. A large part of the populat...
