4litres yes wire trace, so do you use just 1 hook with wire trace ?
I always use a snelled pair with mono coz I'm mainly using whole squid or pillies.
Anyway, from memory I was in about 24m off Barwon and 32 off Torquay.

Yep, I’ve got an RDO booked for this Thursday.
Had it booked in since I saw the forecast last week.
I want to try Barwon offshore, search for a reef or two and see what’s lurking around.

Apart from whatever “special” epoxy that a tackle store sells, what epoxy is suitable?

Yeah I had a good close look and couldn’t see the threads, also the bottom edge is a bit wavy - unlike a thread wound end if you know what I mean.
Ha ha. That would be easier if I just heat shrink them in place and glue them up. I guess it wouldn’t be so strong though.

My eyesight isn’t as good as it used to be, but do big manufacturers use heat shrink now instead of thread ? Thanks smile, I used a dot of supa glue to hold one of the guide feet in place while I wrap it up. Then I just used 5 minute araldyte to bulk it all up at the end, which took about 15 minutes to touch dry in this cold. I always mean to grab some small brushes for this sort of task but never do.
