Re: Surf rod recommendation

Thanks heaps for the reply’s guys. I actually nearly bought a aerowave today so glad I didn’t now. They have a prevail in store but unsure on the 14’6 ft. I’m not that tall and was wondering how I would go casting it.

Re: Rocks vs surf

I have Kimtown, although I have never put a lot of effort in there chasing Jews but I think there would be better places to go if that’s what your chasing. But if that’s where your going I would be concentrating on the lake/mouth. But that’s just my opinion

Favourite bass lure

With the weather warming up it’s time to dust off the hobie in the morning and go for a flick for some bass.
I’m interested in what everyone’s go to lure is. For mine down here in east Gippsland would have to be the jackal chubby in black or green but my biggest bass was on a zman grub

Re: Rock life

I think the unknown of what’s bellow the big blue water is what draws me in. I’m in my early 30’s with a wife and kids and a mortgage so another thing that draws me in is the adventure of chucking the camping gear in the car roughing it for a few days and really getting away from it all. Although my...

Re: Plolarised Lens Colour

I also was having trouble picking lens colour for my new purchase. I ended up getting the red tonics, and absolutely love them. Fish mainly salt but that could be a dirty estuary or a big blue ocean ledge so went for the red as a all rounder. Recent trip in a weeded up estuary mate had brown makos o...

Re: Metung Fishing

I was fishing Paynesville last weekend and was very tough going. We tried every lure we had and ended up with three salmon which we caught on squidgy wrigglers. We camped at ocean grange and them three salmon turned into four really good gummies so ended well in the end. Good luck
