Re: 3/7/2106 salmon madness part 2.

At the end of the day, the man posted up a report and did nothing illegal. I, for one, enjoy reading his reports (LX). I know I also give away fish if I catch a fair few and none goes to waste. Too many people on here with too much time on their hands, and very little going on in their lives. There ...

I think it goes without saying to learn to read the weather well, even more so in small craft. Everything has its limitations it just depends on the craft and the skipper

Re: 3.9m Tinny

I've fished my 10ft plastic cat hull out to P2 (around 7km from Altona) chasing snapper a few years ago. It was relatively calm with short chop and it was fine.

I think it rings true to pick your days in small craft. On a nice day where it's forecasted to be good all day it should be fine.

Cheers

Re: who uses circle hook and what you think of them?

Circle hooks are all I use. It's a bit of a lazy way to fish but when bait fishing I don't mind. Also, it makes it easy to release fish as they are hooked in the corner of the jaw as others have mentioned. I find the KL range to be a solid hook... Never lost a fish that was hooked... Another thumbs ...

This.

Bcf will now focus on the fishing side of the business and rays on the camping/outdoors.

You will find most rays will start reducing and clearing their fishing gear
