Re: Another cracker
Another top effort Nude Up glad you are enjoying your retirement. Where abouts is the radio marker, never heard of one in PPB. Prior to entering the point richards channel number 1 and 2 there is a large single square marker that is orange that is the one I am talking about Cool thanks, I know the ...

Re: Corio fish death Grammar School Lagoon
This is not good to see, Grammar Lagoon and Indented Heads are a long way from each other so it's hard to say what has caused this.
Hope in the coming days we don't see this affect the whole of the Bellarine and they quickly get to the bottom of it.

Re: Trip to the rip
At least you got a feed, some nice squid there Nude up.
Point Richard to the rip is a fair hike but with Queenscliff closed probably your only option. Nice report.

Re: Trailer bearing replacement
I did my bearings and brakes just before the boat was finished last year. So far so good regarding temps. Did lakes to home in a straight hit and bearings wouldn't have been above 50c. Only slightly warm to the touch. You know what can absolutely get f'd though. Grease guns. I have no idea what I'm...

Re: Why is it so
There are a few scenarios for this. First one is the main drive shaft is always spinning while the motor is running so it could be just the force of the oil moving in the gear case that causes the spinning. This is no concern if you are able to stop the prop spinning while in neutral without any eff...

Re: Life jacket while rock fishing
I'm all for life jackets cheap insurance that might save your life. I think life jackets rules need to be looked at in our state. For a boat you must have a type 1 which is the safest but on a jet ski or kayak a type 2 or 3 is accepted even though your more likely to fall overboard on a kayak. Doesn...

Re: Bearing buddies
Hey Nude up, I have had a similar problem in the past and started using loctite when installing them and had no more issues. Just use a medium strength one so they can be removed during service. Most hubs are not machined perfectly round so that's what I think your problem is. It will also help seal...

Re: Squid snap - which one do you use?
hey guys, I have been using the Decoy Round Snap 13 Pack 00 the last 2 days, small yes but I found them easy to use. Only got 1 squid each day but others got none so I would say they don`t affect the catch rate.... I find it better to just use a loop knot on the jig like I do for my lures etc. That...

Re: Squid snap - which one do you use?
I find it better to just use a loop knot on the jig like I do for my lures etc. That way the action of the jig is as natural as it can be. Don't bother with snaps or swivels etc.
