Good day Dezza, If you didn't want to take it home and measure it, why didn't you just run out a length of line, cut it to exact fish length and measure the line when you got home? Had a free hour so thought I'd try and catch something before the next set of gales blow in. Only had one bite but this is the result. Cleared out the car this morning to take the goat to the vet so didn't have a tape measure. Marks on the rod are 47cm and the fish slightly overhangs both ends. Anyw...

Had most of my fish there on prawn, at least 3 over 40cm and plenty over 30. Never seem to do so well in the winter or on windy days though.

Been tough going swell wise down there, even with the offshore winds. At least you saw one caught, eats my last 2 trips.

Never really found a decent telescopic. Brought a few travel rods instead, have a 12 ft 5 piece Shakespeare surf rod, a 7ft shakespeare slingshot that I've used off the rocks and in the boat. I also picked a shimano nano 9ft 4 piece which is great for slinging metals off the beach. Tge shakeaspeare ...
