Re: Ebay win tonight bargain or POS

Will you use it for bait fishing or lure fishing? Despite the name, the low profile baitcast reels are used for lure fishing. In the US, as well as other places, they call lures 'baits'. If you use it for bait fishing and you have to cast it, using a paternoster rig makes it easier. Having the main ...

Sweet now all i gotta do is learn how to cast it
When you do start fishing with it, where will you use it? Snaggy water, tree lined banks comparable to a jungle?

Re: Tank testing cod!

Witnessed the feeding of a Trout cod in a tank (in a hatchery) the other night. Three small fish were sacrificed to the Trout cod god! Talk about a killing machine which comes complete with fins! It was a lot more aggressive than the Murray cod I saw in action the other day...ignoring yabbies! Of co...

Re: "Big Redfin" challenge

Redfin are good eating! So if you want a feed...better eating an introduced species. On saying that, I rarely eat them. Trout are also introduced so feel free to eat them as well. For some people, redfin may be the most abundant fish in their area or their only other option is carp. I like many othe...

Re: Snowy River To be Artificially Opened

........... Shame about the boat ban....that would have been fun to shoot at full throttle :-D YEAH, if you can make it past the sand bars! I think he has the tenacity to do so!!!!!!! So if it doesn't rain, I guess the mouth will close again? And to start with, if by chance we had heavy rain prior ...

Spectacular reports you have posted. I had my first intro to the Hughes Creek last March. Spent 2 days ...

Re: "Big Redfin" challenge

Once upon a time the majority of my fishing was targeting redfin in local channels. Of course the goal was to get a bigger fish although I never had a set target...a '50' would be good. As it stands now my PB is around the 44 cm mark....my PW (personel worst) would be around 5! All of my fishing was...

Re: Fished Somers for Doughnuts

Despite not catching anything you still had a good outcome....advice on the location for the next time. It is also good to see a 'donut' report. Many people can't get past their ego to post details when they weren't a raging success on the water.
