I agree with the suggestion of the Geoff Wilson book. Make sure it's not the game fishing one though, you probably don't need to know how to crimp 400lb leader. G'day gents, I was wondering what are good knots to learn how to tie? I only know how to do the shoelace knot and it works always but I thought I should learn some more! Redfin, yellowbelly, and cod if you are lucki. If baitfishing then you will have carp of course. Baitfishing use worms. Hi boys,

Thanks for all the replies and suggestions! I forgot I could detach reels and took my reel off my cheap Shimano telescopic rod and used that. It is 10000x better and will last me a while without having to spend money!
