Re: Dual Battery Setup and Battery Charging
Was just on the century pro website. https://www.centurybatteries.com.au/products/marine/car-batteries-vs-marine-batteries#dualbattery It says for dual battery system, they recommend that the second battery be deep cycle. If that is the case, it will not be possible for both batteries to be exactly...

Re: Dual Battery Setup and Battery Charging
did they say what brand and size battery? Marine century pro 680 I think. 680 it ok to run the electricals from to leave the main battery for starting the motor. You need to match the same CCA as the battery currently installed. This is paramount is they are being charged in parallel which most lik...

Re: Dual Battery Setup and Battery Charging
680 will be fine if you run everything off the house battery but for the engine start. as long as you have one good battery to start you are fine. I run a portable fridge off mine during summer and I just keep on eye on the battery volts. if they get down too low...i turn the fridge off. The only th...

Re: Dual Battery Setup and Battery Charging

No. Its the price for 1 battery and switch and cables. Not 2 batteries. did they say what brand and size battery? Marine century pro 680 ...

Re: Dual Battery Setup and Battery Charging

They are called a VSR and some will not allow you to start from the house battery. Some people are ok just having the house as a house ...

Re: Safety Equipment
I buy the enclosed water pack from either Whitworths or BCF. If you are only fishing in PPB then the enclosed pack is what you needsturgeon wrote:The list says orange smoke x 2 and red flares x 2. But most dealers do not give smoke as part of safety gear.

Re: Dual Battery Setup and Battery Charging
Does the $450 include parts or is this just labour? If it includes parts it sounds like a very good price. I did mine myself as I wanted in done in a particular way and I am very fussy on workmanship. I like to do these things myself so I know how its done....just a personal choice. If you are compa...

Re: Hard day on the water
you could not get a better boxing day than going out with those 2 blokes. Personally i got away a bit late today (had to take the dog to the vet) and you had much more fun that when I did today in PPB. After 3 hours and only 1 fish I pulled the pin......there is always another day but any day on the...
