Re: You can keep your yaks ! I was considering ~ not now !

I got mine for 1800 ducky with a 25hp yami 2005 model. And cheater its hard to launch 7km's offshore :) But i still love my kayak and I definitely would still want to use it as it has taken me to many places a boat hasn't. That's a steal mate. Just to re-iterate I was speaking about new prices. A n...

Re: You can keep your yaks ! I was considering ~ not now !

The only main benefits I find of having a tinny (3.9m) is you can have a couple of others with you but the main difference is the speed and distance you can travel in one trip. Yaks can handle as much wind but when it comes to paddling back on a headwind it really is a struggle. 3.9m isn't a bad si...

Re: You can keep your yaks ! I was considering ~ not now !

Well mate i paid $900 for mine no more to pay, what's upkeep on a $3k tinny? Cam Give me a 3 grand yak over a 3 grand tinny any day of the week. (New prices) Tinnys have a lot of limitations. Too big to hand launch. Extra parking for trailer. Limited to boat ramps. Anywhere too rough for a yak is t...

Re: Official Fishing Victoria Species Comp 2014 Thread.

I got the 600mm one from compleat angler melbourne. And the 1200mm one from big w Finally got a flatty. I'm claiming 44cm instead of 43 because there's a tiny bit of tail hanging over. Now I'm happy for the majority vote on it though. What are your thoughts? http://i1078.photobucket.com/albums/w492/...

Get a chippies rule. Folds down nicely.

Those little tapes are good in theory but they rust out ultra fast lol. I bought a couple at the start of the species comp.
