Thanks for prompt replies everyone. Seems I maybe over enthusiastic with berley. Good tip on the berley block on the anchor to. I will make that my weekend project. This is a common problem. You can use whatever you like. Decreaser lemon soap scrubbing brush etc. The secret is cold water. never use hot water it opens up the pours of your skin and that why they smell. Its the same with onions. The secret is cold water.

I think its an esturine eel. Ihave dived with them in NSW and also round Merrimbula Eden. Where bouts did you see this one??

All on Jigs. I have all the Barbs set up just need to give them ago. I have got some really good help on here regarding them so will be getting them going soon.

Swan Bay, Queenscliff bight

Fished Swan Bay for first timer Sunday morning. Plenty squid around then headed round to Queenscliff bight and drifted along the front down towards the marine park. 17 Squid in Total 3 over 1.5kg.

Hi Tomcat1.
Its a ruddy Gurnard. Here's a pic of what they look like underwater. They are quite common I see them often as a diver round southern end of the bay.
