Either or. Just a standard coke bottle or similar. Make a trip down the beach with empty bottle/s in hand and fill them up with salt water. It lasts longer than regular fresh out of the tap.

They classify the rip as a bar crossing because of it's dangers. Falls under heightened risk so no matter what pfds need to be worn.

To clarify, the rip has always been a place where pfds must be worn. They've only extended the area in which you're required to wear one

Merc tilt trims are notorious for severe rusting. I've never seen one the last 15 or so years not rust
