Re: Speargun advice
I'm thinking of getting a speargun, but I'm not sure where to start. It'll only be used for small species like flathead etc from fairly close range, and I don't want to spend much money on it. Looks like there's a few in the $130-40 range that might be ok on Motackle: https://www.motackle.com.au/wa...

Re: Fishing related lockdown activities.
It doesn’t take too long, you can wrap the thread around the hook, apply the glue (nail polish), then once the fly is finished put some more glue on the exposed threads, then sit the fly aside. I have found it is usually the exposed thread that will cop a beating so the exposed thread is what I usua...

Re: Fishing related lockdown activities.
Just finished up another one. I used superglue this time and remembered to tie some thread on the hook prior to starting the fly pattern. I forgot to do that first time around Ive run out of those small hooks, so I'll try a bugger size next time. Ive just used whatever I can find in the shed apart ...

Re: Ninja warrior
If it was less about human stories and characters and more about doing cool stuff I'd try it again. If you like that kind of thing, check this out from I think 2005 or so. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=YBYiN589RyY I started watching ninja warrior years ago when it was on sbs, reading subtitles. T...

Re: Just how sticky is Eva Foam decking?
Hi folks I'm thinking about covering my fibreglass non-skid decking areas with Eva Foam. Being non-skid, the deck surface is rippled and it has been suggested to me that the Eva Foam adhesive backing won't stick well on it and that I'll need to cover the non-skid areas with a filler before laying. ...

Re: Fishing related lockdown activities.
I typically give my drive a squirt of inox after a freshwater rinse when I get back from yak fishing, then do a few rotations of the peddles so it coats all of the moving parts. If you want a cheap fix for stuff not falling out of the crate when you turtle, you can cut a base off another crate, flip...

Re: Any one up Mansfield Way
Always sleep with the rifle in the swag on a remote trip lol. Never know what random **** can happen at night. I’m more worried about wild dogs than old mate button man though. Although crater face up at the snowy is another story. Crater face does not have a Facebook page, so, you'd better explain...

Re: Any one up Mansfield Way
“ They say no one knows he is near until he decides to make himself known. A wildlife photographer spent days taking shots in the area near the Button-Man’s camp. When he returned home and downloaded his photos to his computer there was one unexplained shot of the photographer asleep inside his tent...
