id ummed and ahhd whether to put this up or not, but decided to. Got this guy yesterday...same spot, same technique. Cast out...daydreaming waiting for the plastic to hit the bottom...hmm lines going tight...ohh fish on...holy crap thats a big run...noo stay away from the floodgates and nasty ledges...

yeah gave me a bit of grief, struggled to land him with out a net. Muddy feet and plenty of cuts from spikes after grabbing him

Its not just boat repairs that are the problems, its the engine repairs and things like that, which adds costs. You need to use any boat a lot before taking it to a place like the rip. I wouldnt take anything under 6mtrs through the rip anyway, but i wouldnt fish somewhere that the conditions can ch...

Couta is good fresh bait, but dont try to use it after been frozen...the skin falls of and its real flakey.
