Had the afternoon off so I decided to head down the surf coast to Hut Gully to surf fish and catch the afternoon high tide. Bait choice was salted pilchards and squid. Not much happening but managed to catch two salmon both about 26cm and a few smaller ones which I through back to fight another day.

Looks perfect, beats working thats for sure.

Many years ago as a youngster we used to fish the banks along Canning St where the park is now. We caught bream regularly on sand worms. What is the water quality like around there now, would any pinkies or bream be ok to eat or just catch and realease?
