the one thing i will add to this. If you have newer put braid on a reel before buy it from somewhere that can spool the reel for you. They will do it for free. Because is the braid is not on tight enough then you might have some dramas and it could get expensive fast With braid I use a thick rubber...

And to fully answer the OP question (sorry) I'd put a 0.8PE onto the Sedona 2500 and use that outfit as a medium estuary combo with 6 to 10lb leader.
