I guess it might have made a bit more sense when drags were pieces of crap you'd only rely on as a last resort (and maybe that's why it's mostly shitty cheap reels that have them these days) I think it's still in cheaper reels because it hasnt caught on in those brands. Thanks will, there has been stocking in the Latrobe Valley recently will be pretty cool when they get bigger.

Never thought of eels as aggressive and certainly not at midday.

The quality is good enough mate. They are essentially exactly the same as the Shimano Sephias. The weights are slightly different. But they sink nicely. They certainly catch. Nice work Will, some great looking water there.

I've been using a 2wt for the small streamsfor a bit of fun but if I was to nominate a best all rounder it would probably be a 8'6 5wt or possibly a 8' 4wt.
