Depending on how far you want to go these are some of the places I would be looking at Mulwala for a super close option. Windamere (more for the pig yellas than cod) Copeton (big cod but a bit of a grind in the lake but I believe the rivers are really good in the area) or go for the big trip up to Q...

Why do you want a telescopic net for your boat steve?
It's not like you need the additional reach and I can't imagine storage being a big issue.

They're handy af on the piers though
