Re: Sounder for kayak angling.

Thanks for the replies and info guys have been looking at the burley pro products will keep an eye on the sales. As long as it’s easy to setup before launching and still able to rooftop my yak it’s a go. On the outback the transducer shield sticks out a bit. You might have to change how you get you...

Re: Sounder for kayak angling.

I've got a hobie outback as well, currently run a elite ti 7 but should be grabbing a elite ti2 9 shortly. Main reason for upgrade is the clarity from the active imaging transducer. Once you start looking at the units with sidescan the lowrance ready doesn't make as much of a difference, just check ...

Atomic lures have made very similar lures to the megabass siglett. Frogleys offshore used to distribute megabass I believe
Frogleys used to import them now megabass is going it solo. atomic also have a lure with a striking resemblance to a pompadour now.

Re: Port Melbourne Snapper

Thanks Guys, was a fun one to make Those are big autumn snappers! What plastic did you use there? Long grub tail. I see, that net works well with big head and deeper than the kayak net. Good cut length. Good idea to use it as a hand paddle too! My kayak isn't a hobbie or any that has foot pedal, str...

Re: Rubber mesh landing net for kayak and landbased

The kayak net can lead to some Interesting times netting larger fish but you can get the job done on surprisingly large fish. The catch and release net I use now has been great for me landing fish, even though it's not crazy deep the larger head size let's bigger fish sit in it comfortably. I shoul...

Re: Rubber mesh landing net for kayak and landbased

I’ve been using the “large snapper retractable” net pictured at the start of the thread as well. I took the end cap and clip out of the inside of the handle, cut it back with tube cutters and reassembled the end of it. The head is nice and big and the handle is the perfect length. Prior to that net...
