Re: Cornacarpio's Cumulative Carp Culling Caper

Just a question, i was carp fishing on the weekend and i was wondering what will happen if the carps are all culled, now that they make up 80% of all freshwater fish in Australia, creeks such as gardiners creek will be pretty much empty. So will that be the end of fishing creeks such as gardiners c...

Re: Cornacarpio's Eclectic Estuarine Escapades

Had a day off from work today. It was a reasonably good day, so I decided to give the Warm Pies another go. Just like last time, I was fiddling around in the rocks finding old line to practice my 'paternoster' rigs with. Since giving the salt a crack, I've been Youtubing 'saltwater stuff' such as ri...

Re: Cornacarpio's Eclectic Estuarine Escapades

one thing i remember reading (a long time ago) about the warmies,is you want to fish there when the power station is running. If you can get a spot that is. The fish like the warmer water Yeah, I've heard that too...although I'm pretty sure I've been there when it is running and not caught anything...

Re: Cornacarpio's Eclectic Estuarine Escapades

Headed to the Warm Pies today for a bit of a fish. It was absolutely beautiful when I turned up - sun was out and there was hardly any wind for a change. Unfortunately the fish didn't seem to want to play along. I was practicing my paternoster rigs and dropper loops with all the old line I was findi...

Hahaha - welcome to the dark side Cornacarpio :) Well done on the expanding range - seems you are doing much better in the estuaries than of I have done of late Yep, I've officially crossed over to the sea-side :) Wouldn't say I've been doing that well - I've had plenty of doughnut sessions in betw...

Re: Cornacarpio's Eclectic Estuarine Escapades

So far I have upheld my 'promise' to 'never' return to Cherry Lake again. The past week has seen an increase in arsenal in my tacklebox - soft plastics, hardbodies, hooks and sinkers and a decrease in $$$ in my bank account, for very little return - until today. As I was scabbing some food in the Fo...

Re: Cornacarpio's Eclectic Estuarine Escapades

I have already lost more hooks, line and sinkers here in 3 trips than in the past 3 years Carp fishing...and I only have one fish to show for it :(

For the most part, yes. I find Goldfish are particularly susceptible to bread under a float. I have also caught a few Goldfish on garden worms.
