Barwon river - estuary lures?

Hi all, I'll be spending the Christmas week down at St Leonrds this year and apart from a bit of bay fishing in the boat will be also keen to try some fishing in the estuary shore based with the family. I haven't fished this area before and like to pass time throwing lures - can anyone suggest the b...

Steavenson river 31/5

Hi all, Yesterday I headed out with the intensions of fishing waters of the upper Yarra river, a quick check on the system however showed the water was very high and fast, made the executive decision to instead head off to the Marysville/Buxton area to try the old favourite - Steavenson river. I dec...

Re: LILLYDALE LAKE FISHING REPORT 29/5/17

Have you tried fishing olinda creek that runs into the lake? Might be a few trout that escape the lake? It's disapointing when the family fiahing lakes get fiahed out so quickly once stocked. Maybe should be tougher restrictions for adults or at least have an increased fisheries presence for a perio...

Re: somewhere to hike and fish

Heaps of options, just depends on the size of trout you're after... If you want a good hike you could try your luck at Cathedral Mountain, little river holds heaps of small trout, in the same area you have Buxton, Marysville, Eildon... Just remember most rivers and streams will be closed to fishing ...

Re: Kings Kraft Kayaks

Hi all, just came back from a trip to Anaconda and noticed they are selling the Kings Kraft re-branded as a Seak kayak for... $3990!!! Was good to have a look at it in person and I must say I was pretty impressed at the unit as a whole. I was able to have a play with pedal system and also open all h...

Re: Kings Kraft Kayaks

Thanks guys, $1800 is a lot so I would prefer new at that kind of money, I also like the dimensions and weight (25kg) of the kings kraft as it will be transported on roof racks so nice and easy to handle by myself. The kings kraft does also seem to come with alot of things standard just finding it r...

Kings Kraft Kayaks

Hi all, I'm looking at getting into kayak fishing as something different and I think the pedal powered options would be the way to go for me. I would be fishing mainly in the Gong out into the north part of the bay. Unfortunately the Hobies are a bit out of budget for me but I have found online the ...

Bright trout

Hi all, I'm taking holidays in mid February and have managed to get the wife to agree to stop off in Bright on our way to Merimbula. I've never been to Bright but I've heard it's excellent for trout in the many streams. Does anyone have any experience in this area that could point me in the right di...
