Re: Perch nirvana

Great report and well done. I've been meaning to go there for ages, I reckon a pack raft would be perfect to explore the system a bit higher up.

Very neat. Thanks for the idea, I'm going to have to do the same.

Re: Let's talk barra lures

Yeah purple I had the 681mfs. It was a nice enough rod. Best described as "instant taper" however I got quite a few guide wraps with it, don't know what it is about the black labels but I've had 2 and consistently guide wrap them. It's not just me as Dougie fished with it one day when I t...

Re: Let's talk barra lures

Livie one of those aquarium fish under a float while slow rolling a weedless hollowbelly. Not that I have any barra experience but that's what I'd do anyway.

Re: Wet Weather Gear

Have a look at the ridgeline mallard jacket, I bought one from aussie disposals for $100 a couple weeks ago and although I've only been in proper rain with it once I have found it to be really comfortable and it's also breathable and windproof. I'm sure others would be able to shed some more light o...

Re: point lonsdale

If you hook a fish and it runs into the marine park you have to cut the line, probably the most illogical thing I've ever heard. Are they basically saying that it would be better to have a fish (that was not in the marine park) with a hook in its mouth plus 50m of line attached to it rather than jus...

Re: Next years species comp

Maybe Dougie or whoever is running the next comp should make a poll with a few options of how it will run? I don't really mind although it would be good to change it up a bit for something different. I like the idea of changing some species and competing in pairs/teams.
