Take care on that ramp, it is reasonably steep.
An electric motor is almost a must along this great stretch of river.
I''m leaving tomorrow for a 2 week trip to the area, will have a gander at Cairn Curran and Lanacoorie as well,
if the gold is scarce.

Re: Salmon lures
When the salmon were "on", used to use a silver soup spoon with holes drilled at each end. A running ball sinker to add some weight.

The cod Nationals have just finished. Have a gander at the official site and UTube. Fished very well from what I heard.

Re: Laanecoorie Res
Eppalock and Cairn Curren are, and have been, under a blur/green algae alert since mid December last year.
Bugger about Lanacoorie joining the list. Will just fish the Loddon till they all clear up.

Re: Jells Park?
In the mid eighties we used to regularly get a feed of reddies there. Must be some there unless the carp have eradicated them.

Re: Lake Eppalock Annual Fishing Competition with video footage
There was then and still is a blue /green algae warning in place on Eppalock.
Obviously didn't hold anyone back.
Any signs of it?
Very nice reddie.
