Re: Lauriston and Upper Coliban on Saturday

Good report Pedro!

Has anyone here ever seen them roaching there before? Double-figure beasts rounding up and smashing through schools of roach? Have seen it on a couple of occasions in the summer months. An awesome sight to see.

Re: Lake trout bait tips

Sounds like you may mean "whitebait"? It works on the rainbows, but not the browns. If you're baitfishing, you would be better off using something more natural, such as worms or mudeyes. It would probably be wise to cast one out, and keep one in close, to cover both bases.

Re: Lauriston res.

Which back section do you mean. A few months back I went for a flick one afternoon and it was my first time there and the only access I could find was the scenic loop that goes around to the dam wall and back out to the road. Off lauriston-springhill rd. There's also another access point off lauris...

Lauriston res.

Gday folks! Went for a drive up to Lauriston this morning with the bro to see if we could snare a feed. It was fresh, but a cracker of a morning. Armed with gumboots, a bumbag full of lures, a net, and a rod & reel each, we started peppering the lake with casts. As usual, not much surface activi...

Re: Boat ramp etiquette

I think the problem is common sense is not that common anymore, just in life in general, people don't take the time to think about their actions and the result of those actions. I think a pamphlet would be a good idea, for those that 'need educating on ramp etiquette' though I don't think you could...
