Re: WP 5/719 report

Sometimes all you need is a few hours on the water for a mental re-charge so-to-speak, where a fish or two is a mass bonus. It would have been a nice winters day on WP mate. Seeing the whales would have been a buzz, it's not something you see every day. A cupla extra cms on those whiting can make a ...

Re: dennis I did it !

Some friendly advice Hornet....if you don't have these already, ensure you have a spare wheel, also a trailer lock. These couple of things can save you a lot of headaches down the track if the unmentionable may happen.

Re: Advice. Where should I go fishing?

Depends on the weather...lol. You're a WP man yeh? With Corinella ramp being closed I haven't heard a lot from that area lately, but this is when those winter reds should be getting hungry. A nice gumbo may also come your way. Fresh baits would be a wise.

Re: BIG CATS SPOTTED SWIMMING AT LAKE PURRUMBETE

Cheetah trout are a cross between brook trout and rainbow trout. Tiger trout are a cross between brook trout and brown trout. The theory is as they are hybrids and sterile no energy is devoted to reproduction, so growth rate is higher than the pure species. The tragedie for Purrumbete was redfin ap...

Re: End of season trout fishing on the Eucumbene

"Should have been here yesterday" is never something we like to hear. Shame about the river height dropping, but at least you got onto some nice browns.
Well done mate, it would have been a fun (and chilly) weekend.
