Re: 13/04/2019 Goulburn River Report
Well done mate. 50cm is good, looks like in healthy condition too. I'm no expert but I heard the bigger the tree/log the bigger the fish, if you want to get the biggest fish in the area then pick the biggest tree/log. I'd say you're right except it becomes snag galore. I had to rig up way too many ...

13/04/2019 Goulburn River Report
After browsing Google maps, I decided on a spot along the Goulburn River just out of Shepparton. Couple bumpy dirt roads to get in but nothing the ute (or a Camry) couldn't handle. Found a spot that lead down to the bank and set up for a fish there. Had two light weight rods with me, both spooled wi...

Thank you all for your replies and tips. Much appreciated and I will post up my next fishing trip report soon! Ploh that was not you who i spoke to on the river behind the lake in Shepparton on Sunday afternoon? Hey mate, no I don't think so. I didn't see or speak to anyone on Sunday. I only went fi...

Cheers for the tips guys.
What size circle hook for worms? And what size sinker are we all using for the running sinker rig? A bean or ball sinker?

Solid session on the Goulburn
After receiving a tip and recommendation from a local, I headed to a spot further up the Goulburn than my previous session. I also took on board everyone's tip on using a running sinker rig instead of a paternoster. As all my fishing tackle is still in Melbourne, I made use of what I had (bomb sinke...

Goulburn River Round 2
Firstly, thanks to all who replied to my last report with tips. I found a random spot along the Goulburn River on Google maps and picked a spot to fish. I used a paternoster rig again, but this time with only one hook. I used scrubbies for bait. I was getting plenty of hits, likely from silver perch...

Lower Goulburn River National Park
Been a while since I posted on here. Recently relocated and now have the Murray and Goulburn River on my doorsteps (not literally). But they're a small drive away. I'm very new to this area and fishing the rivers here. But I started with basics and used a paternoster rig and put some scrub worms on....

Re: Werribee South Jetty

Cheers Gra I reckon it's one of those places where you either know the place or you don't. There's no in between unfortunately. I think it produces we...
