When i was much younger and the old timers would take us fishing some would tie rods to racks on top of car. They would wipe them down with wipes beforehand in winter for trips towards Orbost/Marlo to stop them from freezing..
Tuna oil stinks, i'd go the alcohol wipes (high %) first and see..

Its not my preferred style of fishing on the Rocks down there (Bait & Lure on 12'& 9' respectively). 2 popular rock platforms there are Jump Rock & Artillery Rocks. Not sure you'd be able to get it far enough or wo...

Re: Robe to Salt Creek
I'll begin by saying by no means am I an expert in the area. I haven't been for a couple of years but we have a group that goes there annually; Long Beach: Yes - regularly see normal cars there. Salt Creek: No - I believe most of the good fishing is up towards Ti Tree Crossing but have seen and hear...

Re: Sorrento Pier 22/06/2019
Change it up! :) I know its easier said then done but I think most fisherman go through a drought. I just try to go back to basics w/everything (rigs, baits, locations, etc..) and go to my bread&butter species to get going again.. For example, I've found Salmon to be pretty consistent on the Great O...

Re: warmies or webb dock
At night Webbdock, during the day Warmies.. Always just fished better for me for Winter Reds.. Simple Running Sinker, big baits (usual suspects like a full pilly or squid) and you should give yourself a chance.. @ warmies, I prefer the section to the right of the carpark, behind the actual warmies.....

Re: Black rock barracouta in the millions
At night, around a full moon I've encountered similar schools on the Great Ocean Road, this time of the year. I think its more about getting a little bit lucky with being at the right place at the right time..
