Re: Scam or Not?? - Me thinks so.
It's just the usual Facebook page/group giveaway scam that Facebook do absolutely nothing to stop no matter how much you report it as a scam They won't do anything because it's probably a paid advertisment. If they stop it .. it stops their revenue :) Scammers will pay to advertise their messages i...

Re: what's the weirdest thing you have found or seen while fishing?
During mid '90's fishing off the Beach at Bemm River. Saw a black cloud in the distance over the water, which was moving towards us.
Realised it was the biggest swarm of bees we'd ever seen. I never realised my fishing buddies could run so fast on sand.

Re: Teen reels in 135-kilogram tuna in waters off Mornington Peninsula
Hope the run of these bigger fish continue in the near future. It's unbelievable how many are being caught so close to Melbourne. Given each female produces 12-15 MILLION eggs a day during breeding its possible even without further tightening the international and regional restrictions. They are ma...

Re: Jells Park?
I fished there about 2 years ago. Saw a guy land a monster carp on corn. My son and I caught 6 eels using worms for bait. Have also heard the lake may have Roach ....

Re: Land based flatheads
I got these two flathead today at Kerferd Road Pier. Both on soft plastics. https://youtu.be/cjlSgX3Ue2c I reken soft plastic outdo bait hands down for flathead. My experience is the exact opposite. When fishing for Flathead, bait outfished lures every outing. :) I'm sure everyone will have differe...

My humble recommendation is: If the fish are feeding on prawn, then that's what you should be using as bait - or using a prawn immitation type lure ....

Re: The mighty Station Pier? Show your catches!
Remember my Dad taking us there regularly for a fishing trip when we were kids (Geez ... 30 years ago now)
Common catches were Trevally, Flathead, Gurnards, Couta and Pinkies with the occassional odd Ling thrown in.
Really miss those days

Re: Think Big charter review
I actually feel for the poster. I've also experienced bad customer service on charters around Victoria. Some have been arrogant bloody D**s as far as I'm concerned. Have been on charters in NSW and I think the some of the Vic Charter guys can learn a lesson or two regarding how to treat a customer f...
