Good report mate but bad luck about the fish.
We have our tickets to go in a few weeks but will wait and see if we head out, would rather a day on the bay going by all the reports.

Was out around the rip yesterday and saw more charters than private boats, counted 11 charters all up all fishing the same area and only saw 2 kingies caught (had one hit for the day) . They are called ice jigs, supposedly good for redfin and used the same way as a bobber / knife jig. Ive got one at home and tried it a few times with no luck

Cheers guys,
if anyone is thinking of going down we were fishing around 15 kms east of the harbour in between 18 and 25 meters of water. Just need to find them on the sounder. They were taking small 4.5 to 8 inch lumo skirts.
