The tuna were out front of the harbour on the Sunday, after the comp had been called off.
At which point we were driving up towards the freeway, right up until the drawbar on our boat trailer gave up the ghost.

Yep, I made a couple for myself and Adtrac. Dead basic, 120mm waste pipe, glued on cap one end, screw off cap on the other. The hardest bit was trying to work out the handle, ended up just using a length of old rope, and gaffer taping it on. Works perfectly. These things did the south oz flight, and...

Got a couple of quantum smokes on casting outfits on my mates boat. They were very good on the last Portland tuna trip, pretty impressed with the drag on them.

Any time like this is a time for reflection and change. What I’m reading here is a huge sense of entitlement. If that attitude follows you through your work life I can see why an employer would move you on. I’d reflect on what’s occurred and see if anything was in your power to change. Then change ...

I normally fish one of each.
For preference, I'd normally got the heavier, not really for the size of fish, but for the 7oz grapple sinkers I use as a rule in a lot of the spots we fish.
