Re: Eging Reel - Daiwa Exist or Shimano Stella FI
Shimano Ci4 3000 or Daiwa Emeraldas 2508PE- DHsize both perfect for squid. Other than the price difference, is the quality and performance of these two products comparable? I do have the slightly older Emeraldas 2508PE-H. Is the dual handle version that much better? I have the older model without d...

Not really! I simply get a great deal of enjoyment chasing these guys on jigs. Oh, and my family and I really enjoy eating them.

Eging Reel - Daiwa Exist or Shimano Stella FI
I'm trying to select my next eging reel (and rod for that matter) and I'm finding it difficult to choose between the Stella and Exist. Re: Leader length for squid?

Theoretically speaking, will a shorter leader (i.e. 0.5 or 1m) have a negative impact on my overall success when chasing squid? Likewise, in terms of sensitivity, lure action etc, is a shorter leader length more advantages?

Leader length for squid?
For a long time I've been running fluorocarbon leader lengths of between 1.5 - 2.0 rod lengths when setting up my squid outfits. Is there really any point in running leaders longer than 1m?

Daiwa Emeraldas AGS vs AGS Air
Which of the 2 types of Daiwa Emeraldas AGS rods is the better quality....... the AGS or the AGS Air? I assumed it is the AGS, with its SVF rod blank. Have I got it wrong?
