Re: Wader Question
Cheep waders like those aren't going to last long. If you are going to wear waders for a fair amount of your fishing then at last get a decent $200-$300 breathable waders. And if you can afford it get Gore Tex (GoreTex is a material that some of you are probably familiar with as it is used for some ...

In my fly fishing club I only know ...

Re: Murray cod caught on fly
For cod on fly most people use about a 6/0 7/0 hook. I think most fish would have trouble straightening thatmalleestump wrote:It beggars belief how such a large fish was landed on a fly hook and didn't straighten or break it.I wonder want size shank he was using. gus

Re: Any tips for fly fishing in the yarra valley?
I have only been there fly fishing once and did not have any success. With this hot weather you are going to want to look at fishing more mountain streams as the water will be cooler and there will be a lot of bugs around.

Re: fly fishing for carp?
I have seen plenty of carp in the shallows of the diamond creek in Eltham on hot days. Just walk along the river and when you see one cast a black wooly bugger in front of them and retrieve it very slowly or let it sink in front of them.

Re: apollo bay pier
I have caught salmon off the end off the pier, leatherjacket in the harbour between the boats and grass whiting of the boat ramp. All about this time last year.
