Re: Cod classic 2018!!

Every year after the classic I say I’m not doin it again cause it’s like Easter it’s chaos.. I’ll probably be back next year tho lmao It gets pretty crazy there with 2500+ fishermen trying to get their boats in the water. There were some really long line-ups at the ramps, with even worse parking qu...

Re: Murray boofs

Great work for the Murray. I find it really hard to fish in the Murray current, especially trying to get the lures deep enough without getting snagged.

Great fish off the surface mate.

Re: What a fizzer!!!!!

Fantastic fish too greggo! Thanks for the replies people. cheers Jim Thanks Jim, landing that fella was stuff a kayaker has nightmares about! Here's the styles of fizzers I use. The little frog at the top is the one that caught the big Cod. You'll notice that I use "W' hooks on my surface lure...

Re: Soft Plastics vs Metal blades

I had a look on Google for the colours of the cyber vibes, And I'm guessing that a18, Ju008 and BLG would be good colours? My go-to vibe is the Cybervibe A18 in 35 and 40. I have a mix of other brands in different weights and colors, but the A18 is my favorite. It's caught Bream, Bass, EP's, Mullow...

Re: What a fizzer!!!!!

I haven't used that specific lure, but I regularly use fizzers on the Cod. They have a great action and create a different type of noise, compared to other styles of surface lures. I prefer to use them at night, and caught my biggest Cod (97cm) on a fizzer. I'd cast about 50 times at a snag using a ...

Re: Soft Plastics vs Metal blades

A good rule of thumb for choosing the color is: Dirty water=Dark colors, Clear water=natural or bright. Ultimately though, it all comes down to the action you're imparting on your blade. Small hops along the bottom, or, constant slow roll, or a mix of both. It wont matter what color you use if your ...
