Re: So what is happening offshore Lakes Entraqnce

Fished at the pipeline yesterday for a few gummys, couple of school shark a snapper and the standard 4000 bulleyed gurnard. Around 20 boats there with lots of movement so i dont think anyone was really braining them. Top day though. Been quite a bit caught lately, not record breaking but still good...

Re: So what is happening offshore Lakes Entraqnce

Headed out today for a quick fish down the pipeline in 26mtrs . Lots of rubbish but a few good fish. Lost a couple due to poor hook selection. Fixed that with a size upgrade and ended up with a good feed for 3 hrs fishing :water:

Re: Identifying a boat

If it does turn out to be registered and legit . Do not launch it till you have rego numbers on it. From memory no numbers is $1300 fine if they want to get nasty

Re: Identifying a boat

Yep. Second hand boat with no rego numbers. No previous rego paperwork. No I'd plate = stolen. Without all that no chance of rego. Boat is worthless.

Re: Crab catching at Lakes Entrance

Ok, well pipis are not common, there are a few on the surf beach but they are small and take quite a bit of digging to find. Crabs, most crab from the jetty on Bullock Island, I am amazed there are any crabs left there. Any sandy area around the entrance will have crabs. Land based it is difficult t...

Re: So what is happening offshore Lakes Entraqnce

Well time for an update. Been out a few times chasing snapper flatties and gummies. It has been very frustrating. Get a few pinkies and an occasional 40+ but no big ones and even the pinkies are patchy. Flatties have been fairly scarce had half a doz over three trips. No gummies. There have been a f...

Re: BCF/ANACONDA Branded Fishing Apparel-why?

Never wear branded stuff. I think if someone wants me to walk around advertising their product they should pay me to do so. $70 for a thin top. Tell em they're dreaming. I shop at the op shops get something like that without the brands for $5 keep my $65 for fuel and bait. Just a grisly old pensione...

Re: Ppb snapper

You will never see flatties. You may see what they are feeding on. In the case of smaller fish like KGW School whiting squid, you will see them if they are in quantity and under your boat. You will never see fish that are in the crevasses between rocks or in sea grass. So know your bottom type. On t...
