They probably don't care about the 3 guys, but the 3 have a lot of influence which they can use to vote against the ban. Many small towns in Victoria rely on fishing and boating to survive. There's also quite a few boat manufacturers locally. It will be very hard to fully ban both these activities...

There's too much for the boating and fishing industry to loose if this goes ahead.

I just had some success on the whiting myself albeit in ppb not lakes. The bigger one do take some line.. good fun when they are around in numbers..

Finally opened an account on the weekend (50cm/60cm). Both fish taken off Black Rock yesterday in 18mt @ 10am on pilchards. Lots of arches around (all depths)....bay seems pretty good this year.
