Re: The great 'monster' trout debate!

The brood stock released would normally be sent off to the fish markets & end up on a table for dinner! It was a win for the fishers. There are a number of studies from around the world on trout stocking and if it is successful, the common outcome is that the trout od this size are likely to sur...

Re: Stocked Lakes

Cheers Chuck, https://vfa.vic.gov.au/recreational-fishing/fish-stocking Most trout and salmon stocked by the Authority are released as yearli...

Scores of dead fish, eels wash up after Melbourne factory fire

might need to be a bit cautious in what you catch & keep in the area. Dead fish, eels and other marine life have washed up on the banks of a Melbourne waterway after toxic chemicals and firefighting foam entered the creek while crews worked to extinguish a factory fire in the city's west. En...

Re: spinnerbait soft plastics.

If you want the best of both - use z mans & try cutting the a bit off each side of the paddle tail. You can also place 2 smaller cuts in front of the tail, It’ll give you some more action in tail.

Re: IT'S TIME TO END COMMERCIAL NETTING OF FISH IN THE GIPPSLAND LAKES

I have to say this whole campaign is a misinformed load of tripe. Then you will have wasted many years and destroyed the lives of 10 fishers for no gain. Addres...

I learnt to fly fish with a similar outfit a few years back. Just need to be careful with the back cast and how the rods loads up.

Re: Stocked Lakes

Just seen this on another site from VFA. It’s business as usual for our Snobs Creek hatchery team, who have stocked more than 100,000 trout since the school holidays began. Rowville, Lilydale and Pakenham lakes were lucky enough to receive more catchable size rainbow trout (350, 400 and 400 respecti...
