Re: 4.58//mobile marine mechanic

Bowl, check the roll when at rest just to see what it's like when you get adults on same side. Great hull for cutting thru the chop. I'd expect the yammy to be quiet and smother than the etec. Etec will push it along a lot faster.

Re: Tinny launching Loch Sport

quite a few launch tinnies into merrimans creek at Seaspray and its a short drag over the entrance. There is a marine park to the west of Seaspray, avoid that and there is great fishing directly out within 7km from shore. Make sure you have the safety gear as the fishieries inspector & police dr...

Re: Moving axles forward advice.

I take that back, then, might try that on my boat trailer, however I still need to have heavier duty springs in the back. If you change over your springs, check the axle weight is correct for your trailer, you might find that may need to be changed over as well. I'll try to get a pic sometime soon ...

Re: Moving axles forward advice.

Wolly, I have a modified bracket to go over the single draw bar on the boat trailer, it works very well. I had an engineer weld & reinforce 2 of the Hayman reese mini brackets together to take the 80kg load rating, it sits over the draw bar in front of the winch post. I think its is a better opt...

Re: Moving axles forward advice.

what vehicle do you have? Is the issue a weight distribution for towing? you can get some simple tow systems to spread the weight. I picked up a set of theses & had the trailer bracket welded to fit on the single draw bar.

Re: What are these used for

Yes they're ice jigs. Fishing from a boat I have found good for redfin, bass & yellas. they were around a few years back & then disappeared for a while. Seem to have come back in vogue in the last couple of years. They circle around on the drop. Great when the fish are shut down or fishing a...

Re: Buying a boat

I have a topender side console, 4.5mt 60hp tin can bowl. Fuel under the floor, 2 front storage hatches. I upgraded the standard sounder, so get the better one to start. Mine came with the sounder. Make sure the wiring is not earthed to the hull! I fish 3 up lure casting easy, 2 up perfect. Do some ...
