All the little creeks in your area hold trout. Even the super skinny stuff. Plenty of lakes in the area to use your uk fishing experience on too.

Honestly mate don’t listen to Robbie Alexander. The guy has some clue but a lot of what he says is just utter crap.

A decent quality pe0.6 or 0.8 braid and 5-10lb leader depending on the territory you are in will see you catching plenty of trout without trouble.

NFI mate but I’m gearing up for a similar trip next March. I’m taking various plastics. Slugs and poppers and associated travel rods. Should be a good trip for you.
