Re: split grip vs full grip rods

I'm a big fan of the Shimano terez waxwing black 10-20pp as a whiting rod and able to cast squid jigs or salmon slugs. Full cork grips. Good all rounder for the boat. I've got 3 of em.

Re: Best bait for redfin?

They're too aggressive hitting lures to bother with bait imo. Can be good fun on 3-4" paddle tails.

Re: Leader length for squid?

I run roughly 1 rod length. Measured with the knot about 250mm above the bail arm. I've found this to consistently be the best middle ground between having a long enough leader without having guide wrap issues with having the leader knot on the spool.

Sorry cob. Won't follow you out again. Hahaha.

Yeah I'm the same these days. Have a small list of people I'll speak openly to. But not really interested in advertising it via reports and all that sh*t.

Re: 12v heated vest

But would consider a camo Milwaukee jacket for deer hunting. Standing dead still in the middle of winter is damn cold. Ha...That'll teach you for dog hunting. Get out stalking, that'll warm you up. ;-) Haven't done it yet. Only just got my game ticket. I remember one day in winter at Eildon sitting...
