I reckon you'd struggle with a boat that big. Lots of traffic with rowers on there sometimes and so maneuvering can be tight. If you go down the Maribyrnong then don't go passed the Footscray rowing club to be safe. Otherwise you could try near docklands but then you could do that landbased too

very nice man. i love the description on the shimano site about the rod though "Maikuro, from the Japanese word meaning micro" cheers yeah tbh I wasn't looking at these rods but when I loaded it up at the shop the power was sensational. fuji guides also. hopefully put it to the test soon

New Micro Jigging Outfit

The Aernos comes with a spare spool. Planning to spool one with 8lb and one with 15lb to use for spinning and light jigging.

Rod is rated to 80gm lures and has a tonne of power in the butt however tip is still super sensitive

how would something like this go if the wind picked up slightly? I assume it's mainly for small creeks? I think they are perfect for small to medium lakes and other water ways that aren't really affected by tide or currents. Time will tell. enjoy mate, looks convenient, I'd just be mindful of wind ...
