Sorry - Had to post in 2 parts I'm being blocked??? Practice also using your anchor trolley & which way works best for you. For me personally I prefer anchor in front with bow into current so I can either pedal forward while bringing anchor up & the point of the bow breaks the current flow. ...

I've launched off Fishies beach using the boat ramp to launch my PA14. 4m yak should be ok but it depends on your skill out there. Worst I've been out that part picked up to 18Kts with wind against tide then shifting with tide (very interesting ride back in watching speed on fish finder suddenly acc...

If you're tight on budget hold off. Fishing WP I'd recommend 4m plus length either paddle or pedal. Winter is a good time to buy generally prices are a bit lower. How long is your current yak? Being 6.3 you don't want a little tub that's for sure. Ask Cheater if he's selling his prowler. Also how go...

Yep what he said. I got a couple nice Gummy' s yest morn that side. Make sure you got lights too if you're in the dark. The anchor if only in 2m deep there only needs to be a 1.5kg grapnel with a short piece of 10mm gal chain. Oh & make it with safety release in case you snag it on weeds or rock...
