Re: Spots between Glen Waverley to Bayswater North
Wow, the carp are back at the TNA! That's great news. I used to love fishing there.

I Have the blackwater 7" and love it. I prefer the smaller size for fishing shallow water close the pier and I can feel every touch from even small squid.

Re: Rod Breaker - The pain of losing a pb squid!!!
Same problem at Flinders Pier last night. After an uneventful night, as I was walking back to the car. I cast a 3.0 towards someone’s underwater green light. On the first cast the weight of this squid was simply scary. I had my telescopic net with me but it needed to be undone. So I let some line sl...

Re: Rod Breaker - The pain of losing a pb squid!!!
Thanks for the reply guys. No luck at Stony Pt last night because of the seals. So we went to Mornington. We got 3 and I used a yabby drop net for the first time. Worked a treat! I just left the net hanging about 20cm under water and scooped up a decent squid.

Rod Breaker - The pain of losing a pb squid!!!
Fished Stony Point Pier 13/11/18 from 10pm to 11:30pm, 2 hours before low tide. On her first cast to the ocean side my wife hooked up a beast of a squid. It was ripping 12lb braid off my shimano fx2500, so I grabbed the rod off her and slowly steered the squid to the pier and as I was lifting it up ...

Re: Black Rock/ Mordialloc
Straight out from the car park is great if you can cast over the snags. I have seen some decent snapper caught there before.

Re: Black Rock/ Mordialloc
Cheers guys it was nice to get onto some fish (even if undersized) after a dry streak for a while. I was fishing at night and park next to the pier. Same for Mordialloc.

Black Rock/ Mordialloc
Fished Black Rock last night just after high tide to pick up a 25cm pinky on chicken. Beautiful little fish released unharmed. Later in the night my wife dropped 2 big squid on the way up to the pier and another bloke caught a pinky and a squid off the rocks in the car park. Then off to Mordy for mo...

Is Half Moon Bay Pier Open?
Just a quick question guys. I wanted to know if Half Moon Bay pier is open, as the wife and I wanted to go there for a fish.
Also can anyone recommend any piers that have been firing recently?
