Re: New members

Yes there are kids here , , , , Matari a classic example, a great kid and a great member. But what about: *The member who is going through a Div...

Re: Safety Equipment

Fire extinguisher and a waterproof torch are also a must... Years ago i thought a dolphin torch would be adequate but the water police told me otherwise. Didnt get a fine, just a warning. They said it must be waterproof. I also have a fire blanket just incase I have dolphin torch...last few times t...

I think there are times we need to show some compassion for new members and not scare them away. Regards Wolly I'...

If legal I eat it as most fish I catch.

If desirable and legal I keep. Taking a boat out isn't cheap u know...
I caught my biggest whiting in its bottom and it went 48cm. It was yummy

Re: 60 ft deep

I got a bunch in 45m by putting a sinker on the egi snap as well as a jig and dropping it to the bottom. I noticed the drag had to be up a fair bit more than for calamari or they just dropped off, I think because they're a lot tougher bodied and the barbs don't bite in far enough with a light drag....
