Re: Sandringham Rock Wall
As above it’s a great spot. Be sure to have light and company if you fish the evening as the rocks are quite steep to go down. I highly recommend longer rods to lift tackle and fish in without a snag. I was there one day on a 24knot southerly which was too rough to fish, if that helps you plan at all.

Re: Tight or loose drag
Thanks senior fisho. Would you pin the sliding snell or leave it free above? I’ve seen the latter in some setups

Re: Tight or loose drag
Cheers Sebb and Longbombs.
Longbombs - I usually fish with live mullet.
Maybe I was just unlucky. I will up the linker size in future to aid the hook set

Tight or loose drag
Hi friends, I was fishing for the ghost on Monday, and when packing up I reeled in my rig with the mullet gone and the sliding sinker 3m up and stuck on the leader knot… definitely a run I missed. I realised I was being dim anyway - I was fishing a circle hook on a bait runner with almost no drag. I...

Re: Brimbank Park Fishing (Western Suburbs)
Well done, but I would be highly surprised if you got a mullet that far up! Any chance it was a grayling? https://www.google.com/search?q=australian+grayling&rlz=1CDGOYI_enAU930AU930&oq=australian+grayling&aqs=chrome..69i57.3067j0j7&hl=en-GB&sourceid=chrome-mobile&ie=UTF-8#imgrc=1YyOWVNpV4peNM&lnspr...

Sheepwash report 22/01/23
Hi all, Just a quick report from Sheepwash yesterday: Time: 6pm-10:30pm Tide: 5:25pm low, 12:06am high It was my first time at the spot and I really enjoyed it. I also made a point of picking up some extra rubbish to hopefully keep it that way (thinking of the broken window effect here)! For others ...

Re: Shimano Jewel
Hi, I’d second the rev but have not owned one. I can suggest a 9 foot maikuro too. Probably a little bit cheaper but really happy with mine. Pairs well with a 4000-500 and the weight rating is a little more realistic for Vic salmon.

Re: Squid fishing down phillip island
I’m no expert, but San Remo and Cowes will likely be your best bet. Very tide dependant though. Was at Cowes last Saturday and it was busy with no ink on the pier.

Re: Tackle bag with no zippers
Hey mate,
The plastic zippers on the black magic table bag are indestructible, and plenty of Velcro too. I have the large one, but here is the link to the smaller one. I 100% recommend!
