I'm quite vocally pro conservation but this conversation is a waste of energy. People doing the right thing will keep doing the right thing, people doing the wrong thing, like leaving a dozen dead toadies on the pier, will keep doing the wrong thing.

Like this guy, who saw me hook up, drove over my float and parked 25m off the ledge i was standing on. Not another soul for km's either side and no other boats in the water.....
I fished there for a long time. A couple of years ago reddies couldn't not eat a pink tassie devil or a little gold spinner. Access can be challenging but there are a couple of good areas. Be aware if the (racing) kayaks are out. They can be quite aggressive and think they own the place. red for car...

If you did catch and release a carp you are doing no more harm than if you never caught it in the first place. ie you are having nil environmental impact, which is probably why the fines for doing so is rarely, if ever, enforced. Anyone got any stats on such fines? You can't collect data on how oft...
