Re: One Last Time

Post of the year! Thank you for sharing the experience.

Would you be interested in writing a tutorial on how to target Maq Perch with artificials?

If you did catch and release a carp you are doing no more harm than if you never caught it in the first place. ie you are having nil environmental impact, which is probably why the fines for doing so is rarely, if ever, enforced. Anyone got any stats on such fines? You can't collect data on how oft...

I'd suggest going further north. It's been more than half a decade since anyone has got a Tuna at Greencape and in the 29 days i've spent there since december 2015 I haven't seen a kingfish landed.

Re: Wilsons Prom / Sandy Point

Can't comment on the prawns. Fishing pick any of the rocky outcrops near the beaches and cast to the sandy patches. How difficult a spot you choose to walk in to is entirely up to you. There are some nice bits at Whisky Bay and Squeeky beach. Leonard point and tongue point are both stunning but requ...

Weekend at Greencape

Just spent a wet and windy weekend at Greencape. The forecast was good early in the week then changed the day before I left. Had I not been desperate to get out of Melbourne for a while probably would have pulled the pin. My usual spot was 'a bit rough'.... http://i.imgur.com/MsMbzH0.jpg and not bei...

Re: Any good overnight hikes w/ fishing?

There is a ripper at the Prom called Sealers Cove, I haven't personally fished it but heard some pretty damn good things about the creek there.

Also a few other spots WAY out east, PM me if you're interested but they are a 'bit' hardcore.

Re: Jells Park?

I grew up in the area and live up the road. I've never actually seen anyone catch a fish there, but it must have carp in it.
