I remember listening to Rex and Jacks banter on the radio in the late 70s and Jack would use crumpets for berley. He gave us the bread and butter advice without all the gadetry and hype that now egulfs fishing. I think the crumpets were from where he worked.

Unfortunately this sort of thing is not new.in the ramp parking areas. 40 years ago those who could would remove their trailer lights before launching, and put them in the car for safe keeping. Probably also kept the salt out too.

Hi there, sorry to no fish caught. I am keen to get down there with the yak also. Is the launching area far from the car park and relatively easy trolley along to including back up the hill?

This was on Talking Fishing this week. Looks like it could be a reality.

That track near the tennis courts is a longer soft sand track to the beach but parking is limited there. I<ve been walking along this pier at around !11am every Friday for the last two years and I,ve only seen two decent fish caught in the last two weeks. One was a 40cm flathead and the other a one kilo salmon, both on days when the tide was in and it was cold and windy.

We went past the Hastings ramp at 5.45am. It was chokkers, definately ripe for some ramp rage.
