Hi all I’m in two minds of what weight system to use to hold my baits down in the surf. I’ve ready spider baits or break away with bricks. I go across to Licola and fish the Macalister for trout, it's a bit over an hours drive from Sale. Saltwater, I'll go over to the silt jetties at Eagle Point for bream or to Seaspray/Golden Beach for salmon etc. Beautiful thanks bud. Heading to rye this weekend so no fishing for me. Hope next weeke...

Avon you get bass eel carp and redfin, thompson mainly carp sometimes the redfin hang around the port of sale and lots of eel and the occasional bream on prawn or soft plastics but more towards the mouth of lake wellington can sometimes pick them up at the swing bridge when the water is salty enoug...

Thanks heaps for the help there. I'm keen to get down to the beach there also. I wasn't sure where the estuary part was, as we went to hunky suckles the first time we came up And what I saw on the map was dry grass and not a bridge crossing an estuary lol I'm picking up our four wheel drive and last...
